Howmation's review

This is the kind of machine I consider to be a near-perfect solution for running a robust and future-proof Frigate or Home Assistant setup. Its standout feature is its fanless (0dB) design, ensuring absolute silence, coupled with low power consumption and superior reliability (no moving mechanical parts) – a massive advantage.

When it comes to performance, this machine is perfectly equipped for the task. The Intel i3-N350 processor and its integrated graphics are capable of decoding multiple video streams in parallel, which is the lifeblood of Frigate. The 16GB of RAM and NVMe SSD not only guarantee system fluidity but also allow you to run a heavily loaded Home Assistant instance, Docker containers, and numerous other applications in parallel without ever being brought to its knees. The dual 4K output and dual Ethernet ports also make it incredibly versatile for other applications. While it represents a more substantial upfront investment, it guarantees a powerful and stable surveillance and home automation platform for years to come.
