In my opinion, the Tapo C220 is a direct competitor to the Reolink E1 Pro, and it holds its own remarkably well. I also give it a 4 out of 5.
Its primary strength is its mature integration within the Home Assistant ecosystem, especially through the custom "Tapo Camera Control" integration available on HACS. It offers much more granular control than most of its competitors: private mode management, precise PTZ control, and even the use of its detection sensors as binary entities, which opens up vast possibilities for automations.
Naturally, it delivers the essentials with a stable 2.5K RTSP stream, ideal for high-quality image analysis through Frigate. Similar to the Reolink, its WiFi connectivity significantly streamlines installation by doing away with network cabling. This is an incredibly versatile camera that I strongly recommend for those who want to push their smart home integration to the next level.
